Verygood Regular: A Playful Display Font for Eye-Catching Campaigns

When I was designing the promotional assets for a new online toy store launch, I needed a font that would immediately grab attention without feeling too childish or too corporate. That’s when I landed on Verygood Regular, a display font with a whimsical charm that feels like it stepped straight out of a children’s cartoon. It’s not just a font—it’s a mood.

Verygood Regular for Product Teasers and Social Media Graphics

Verygood Regular has this unique ability to make even the most straightforward message feel playful and inviting. I used it for the main headline in the Instagram post announcing the product drop, and it instantly elevated the tone from “Here’s a sale” to “Let’s have some fun together.” The characters are bold but not overwhelming, with subtle curves and distinctive shapes that keep the eye moving across the text.

In digital ads and social media graphics, Verygood Regular works best as a short headline or callout. Its lively nature makes it perfect for limited-time offers, seasonal campaigns, or any content that needs a pop of personality. I paired it with a clean sans serif font for body copy, which helped balance the visual hierarchy and kept the message clear even on small mobile screens.

Verygood Regular in YouTube Thumbnails and Reels Covers

For the YouTube thumbnail set promoting the same toy store, I wanted something that would stand out in a fast-scrolling feed. Verygood Regular was a natural fit—its vibrant energy caught the eye, and the legibility remained strong even at smaller sizes. I tested a few variations and found that using it in combination with a bright color background made the thumbnails more engaging than standard sans serif fonts.

On Reels covers, I used Verygood Regular to create a sense of excitement around the video content. It worked well for titles like “Top 5 Toys Kids Can’t Stop Playing With!” and added a friendly, approachable vibe that aligned perfectly with the brand’s voice.

Verygood Regular for Branded Templates and Email Promotions

I also incorporated Verygood Regular into branded templates for the email campaign. As a header for the subject line and the opening greeting, it gave the emails a fresh, modern look that stood out against the more formal tones of other communications. It wasn’t overused, which is key—Verygood Regular is best reserved for display purposes rather than dense blocks of text.

For landing page headers and promo banners, I found that Verygood Regular helped reinforce brand recognition. When used consistently across different platforms, it became a signature element of the campaign, making the visuals more cohesive and memorable.

Verygood Regular and Readability Across Platforms

One thing I noticed early on was how well Verygood Regular performs on mobile devices. Despite its playful style, the letterforms remain crisp and legible even at smaller sizes. This makes it ideal for use in image overlays, quick scrolling feeds, and dark mode backgrounds where contrast is important.

However, I’d caution against using Verygood Regular for long-form content or anything that requires dense information. It’s a display font, so it shines brightest when used sparingly and strategically. For example, it works great as a logo-style text or decorative title but may not be suitable for footnotes or lengthy paragraphs.

Font Pairing and Licensing Considerations

To maximize impact, I recommend pairing Verygood Regular with a complementary font. A clean sans serif like Helvetica or Arial helps maintain readability while letting the playful nature of Verygood Regular take center stage. If you’re aiming for a more elegant look, a minimalist serif font can add sophistication without clashing with the font’s energetic character.

Before using Verygood Regular in any commercial project, make sure to check the included styles, alternates, ligatures, and weights. Also, confirm the licensing terms to ensure it’s appropriate for your intended use—whether that’s for ads, merchandise, client work, or digital products. Many Fonts come with restrictions, so it’s always wise to double-check.
